Back to the Netherlands index Mopeds (also for 45kmh mini cars) These moped series are all serial plates issued by insurance companies and belong to the driver of the moped and gets replaced each year. Each year the text at the bottom will switch from YEAR NEDERLAND / NEDERLAND YEAR. Also the colors of the letters will change to green, red, blue and black. Plate is reflective yellow since 1985, before that year plates where non-reflective white. New plates were introduced in 2005 belonging to the vehicle with registrations 01-DBB-1 up to 99-DZZ-9 and 01-FBB-1 up to 99-FZZ-9 and are available in two sizes: 10 x 7.5cm and 14.5 x 12.5cm. There are two classes: Mopeds with max. speed of 25kmh - in a light blue color. Mopeds with max. power of 50cc - in a yellow color. NEW SERIES 01-DBB-1 up to 99-DZZ-9 series started in Sep 2005 and completed in Feb 2006. When 01-FBB-1 started and is now finished at August 11, 2006. Next series (side code 8) has started with DB-001-B. Moped plates gets lost a lot, this one is handpainted.
